Chapter 7 - The Friday Showdown

The walnut-paneled boardroom on the top floor of the Bellini Tower in downtown Philadelphia was filled with tension. Twenty board members sat around the long conference table, whispering nervously among themselves. Rumors of Celeste's sudden disappearance and Daniel's return from prison had swept through the city's elite like wildfire.
Marco sat at the head of the table, calm and collected, with Daniel standing directly behind him. Olivia sat quietly in the corner with a tablet, ready to record the digital audit trail.
At precisely 2:00 PM, the heavy oak doors swung open. Three senior executives—men who had served alongside Marco's father and had secretly orchestrated the betrayal years ago—walked in with feigned confidence.
"Marco," the eldest of them, Director Vance, said with a tight smile. "We hear there's been quite a bit of domestic drama at your estate this week. Perhaps it's time we discuss emergency leadership restructuring to protect company stock."
Marco didn't stand up. He simply rested his hands on the table and smiled—a cold, humorless expression.
"Restructuring is a wonderful idea, Vance," Marco replied smoothly. "Let's start by reviewing the wire transfers made from your personal offshore account to Celeste Warren's Swiss holdings over the last forty-eight hours."
Vance's face drained of color. "That’s a baseless accusation—"

"Is it?" Daniel stepped forward, slamming a certified federal subpoena and a complete digital forensic packet onto the table. "Federal marshals are currently securing your assets downstairs. And by the way, the authorities are very interested in the ballistics report from our father's garage twenty years ago, which your security clearance signed off on."
Within minutes, federal agents entered the boardroom. The coup attempt collapsed instantly. The traitors were led out in handcuffs, their decades-long grip on the Bellini family broken forever.
