Chapter 6 - The Counter-Offensive

With Daniel back at the table and the truth fully exposed, Marco initiated a systematic dismantling of the corruption within his own organization. The inner council members who had orchestrated the murder of their father decades ago believed they were safe, insulated by layers of corporate shell companies and legal protection. They didn't anticipate that Marco and Daniel—once bitterly divided—were now operating with absolute synchronization.

Over the course of three days, Olivia found herself thrust into the high-stakes world of corporate intelligence. Working out of the estate's high-tech security room, she helped cross-reference offshore accounts with the physical ledgers Daniel had recovered. Her sharp eye for detail, honed by years of managing household accounts on a tight budget, caught discrepancies the high-priced forensic accountants had missed.

"Look at this timestamp," Olivia pointed out on the dual-monitor setup, looking over at Marco and Daniel. "The asset transfers didn't stop when Daniel went to prison. They accelerated. Someone inside this house is still feeding information to the remaining conspirators."

Marco narrowed his eyes. "Who?"

"The head of security," Daniel said grimly. "I saw him talking to one of Celeste's associates through the side gate yesterday morning before she was locked away."

A trap was set. Using Celeste's sequestered phone, Daniel sent a coded message to the remaining conspirators, leaking fake financial vulnerability in the primary Bellini shipping ports. If the traitors wanted to seize control of the family empire once and for all, they would have to make their move during a high-profile board meeting scheduled for Friday afternoon.
