The machine whirred to life in the quiet corner of the room, spitting out crisp, hot pages. “Law offices will be closed, but Marcus Vance is an old friend from our college tech incubator, and he happens to head one of the most ruthless real estate litigation firms in the county.”
Adam watched the paper slide into the tray, a slow, grim smile spreading across his face.
“You’re really going to do it,” he said.
